By Gregor Loser
On August 15, 1995, the private Radio L took up its service as the first radio broad-caster in the Principality of Liechtenstein, at the time as a project with a highly uncertain future. Six years later, Radio L has attained a status as "national broadcaster" and is indeed the only independent electronic media in the Principality.
In his conference, Gregor Loser will present the chronological development and the measures that were applied to let the regional private radio L grow into its role as national broadcaster. A central topic is the permanent juggling between the status as a national radio with high journalistic competence, and the necessary emotional proximity to the audience in an economical area that touches four different countries.
In spite of the public status, efficient marketing plays a main part in the strategies of Radio L's management. The further development of Radio L's programme marketing will mark the future of the station.
