Costa Haralambis, President-Founder
It was while visiting one of those famous broadcast conventions
that Costa had first the idea to create the MITIL. This idea became
a reality with the great help he found from Roland Grunder and Pierre
Grandjean, who joined immediately to form the association.
As President, Mr. Haralambis' skills and
experiences are ideally suited to motivate and direct MITIL's talented
organization team, along with Xavier Kempf.
Former photo-reporter who turned very early film director and then
film & video producer, Mr. Haralambis, after directing three full
length docu-feature films in the 70's, produced several corporate
and promotional videos during the 80's until he founded ICI-TV
in 1994 (the first local cable TV of the Swiss Riviera, still based
and broadcasting in Vevey) whose management he quit in mid-2000
in order to establish himself as independent producer and to create
MITIL.
Pierre Grandjean, Vice-President
Former Secretary General of the Golden Rose of Montreux, Pierre,
a former Swiss Broadcasting Corporation executive, has built his
career from experience in all aspects of Radio and Television broadcasting.
He made his debut as a sound engineer with best-selling albums for
Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Nina Simone, Muddy Waters etc.
A Radio & TV producer for the past 35 years, he was from 1988 to
1992 the anchor man of the morning news on Radio Suisse Romande.
He hosted late night shows for both television (1968 - 1988) and
radio (1968 - 2000). Secretary General of the Golden Rose of Montreux
from 1993 to 1999, he has been appointed President of the International
Council from January 1st, 2000.
In 1998 he was elected as an associate member of the International
Council of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).
Freelance journalist he is the author of the books "Montreux Jazz"
(1977) and "100 years of Golf in Switzerland"(2000).
Xavier Kempf, Commercial Executive Officer
Xavier does not claim to be an expert in broadcasting
or even webcasting. He believes, however in broad-mindedness.
His main field of action for the last quarter of the past century
was show-business. Not the one most people think of first of all,
but the business of running conventions and trade shows.
He has even acquired some knowledge in the very special domain of
organizing tradeshows in broadcasting, one of which was dedicated
to Radio exclusively, and another one, gathering up to 300 exhibitors.

Roland Grunder, General Secretary
Roland is also the General Secretary of the SWISSMEDIA
Association.
Secrétaire général de SwissMedia depuis septembre 1998, mis en
place par la Ville de Vevey, M Grunder s'est occupé de tourisme,
d'hôtellerie et de communication avant d'assumer la charge qu'il
occupe maintenant. Outre celui de SwissMedia, M Grunder assume également
le secrétariat général de la Fondation Vevey Ville d'Images et est
chargé de mission Relations publiques et communication pour la Ville
de Vevey.
