PROGRAMME MARKET:
MITIL AWARDS 2001

The Programme Market is an important feature of MITIL - selling, buying, exchanging and arranging co-productions is what it's all about.

The entries submitted by Producers, Programmers, and Broadcasters for participation in the MITIL Awards 2001 have been judged by an International Jury. A pre-selection of 15 programmes (see below) out of the 150 entered was made by the International Jury comprising :

The Awards were presented on the basis of the undernoted categories:

1. Documentary:
Programme: POSITIVO

2. Entertainment:
Programme: ASSAULT
Winner: TV NIS (YU)

3. Fiction:
Programme: NATALIJA
Winner: Center Youth Creative (YU)

4. MITIL prize for Best of All Categories and Award of Town of Vevey:
Programme: NATALIJA
Winner: Center Youth Creative (YU)

The members of the Jury, with Eva Dekanovska as President from Slovakia, conscious of the presence of our invited guests from not only Eastern Europe, but also Central and Southern Europe, not forgetting those from Western Europe, have found, in MITIL, the perfect launching platform for bringing together people with a common purpose - the «bridging of the gap» in the world of television and radio. It should perhaps be indicated that Eva Dekanosvska is the President and co-Founder of the Annual Television Festival which takes place in Kosice, Slovakia.
